A few tips on working with the PRINTABLE STAMPS.
Making rub-ons out of the Printable Stamps:
Got an image that you want to put somewhere on a project, you can do that by making a rub-on.
You will need some INK JET TRANSPARENCY FILM to make your own rub-on's...
1. After bringing up your PDF Printable Stamp image click on top left print button.
2. Go into YOUR printer setup and click on the MIRROR image. (see image below)
The Mirror Image was found under my FINISHING in my HP Printer setup...The Last Option under Orientation has Mirror Image...Select this option.
NOTE: IF THE IMAGE DOESN'T NEED TO BE MIRROR, YOU CAN SKIP NUMBER 2 ....(Mainly Just words will need to be Mirrored)
Put some Transparency paper into your printer with the SHINY side up....or down depending on how your printer prints out...
YOU WANT THE IMAGE TO PRINT ON THE SHINY SIDE.
Being careful not to touch the image or let it rub up against anything....use something like a Popsicle stick and rub the image onto your project.
Printing just ONE image:
You can just have one image print on a page instead of all of the images...follow the instructions below:
1. Open up the PDF file that contains the image.
2. Click on TOOLS
3. Then click on SELECT & ZOOM
4. Then click on SNAPSHOT TOOL (has like a camera next to it).
5. The cursor turns into like a dotted box....draw an imaginary box around the image that you want to print and click on the printer.
..........THE IMAGE WILL PRINT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAGE.............
Don't worry about wasting paper with the image printing in the middle of the page, you can always use a plain sheet of scrap paper and have the image print out first on this paper to see where it will print and then tape a smaller piece of paper onto this spot and print again....take off the tape and remove image from scrap paper.
CHANGING THE COLOR OF THE IMAGE LINES and RESIZING THE IMAGES:
To be able to change the line colors, you will need some type of Graphics program like Printmaster, Printshop, Photo Shop. You can even use Microsoft Word or a program called INKSCAPE.... www.inkscape.org
1. Open up the PDF file that contains the image.
Click on TOOLS
Then click on SELECT & ZOOM
Then click on SNAPSHOT TOOL (has like a camera next to it).
The cursor turns into like a dotted box....draw an imaginary box around the image that you want to change the line colors of or resize.
2. After you have selected the image....enlarge the image to about 200 ...for the Pillow box that is shown here, I used the EASTER BACKGROUND stamp and enlarged it to view at 200 percent.
3. Then right click on the image and select copy graphic...then open up your graphic program...(like one of those listed above) and paste it into the program....
Now you have the image into your graphics program and follow the programs instructions in resizing, line coloring and more.
Please note, it is best to enlarge the image in the PDF BEFORE copying and pasting it into your other grapic program...it will help keep the resoulution the same as if you were printing it in the pdf itself...now if you were to open up your PDF WITHOUT enlarging the image first and then tried to enlarge it, in your graphic program, it might lose some resolution....
Also depending on if you are trying to make the images really big, you will end up losing some resolution....
